Katana Network Airdrop Guide: Quests Phase 2 and KAT Rewards
Katana Quests Phase 2 is active for new eligible users. Learn the July 2026 XP draw, free entry, KAT rewards, deadlines, risks and scam checks.

Katana Network Airdrop Status on July 10, 2026
Status: ACTIONABLE OFFICIAL INCENTIVES; THE ORIGINAL AIRDROP AND EARLY CAMPAIGNS ARE OVER.
New participation is currently meaningful, but the opportunity is not a new retroactive Katana Network airdrop. Katana launched transferable KAT on March 18, 2026, and rewards from pre-deposits, Krates, early DeFi activity and the first 72-hour Founding Staker window belong to earlier participants. A new wallet cannot recreate that history. The active opportunity is Katana Quests Phase 2, which opened July 1, 2026. Eligible users complete a one-time Foundation quest track, earn XP from qualifying activity, and enter recurring monthly weighted draws for approximately $12,500 in locked vKAT. The first draw is scheduled for August 1.
Katana also has a live Perps Competition 5 from July 9 at 16:00 UTC through July 22 at 16:00 UTC, with up to $100,000 in vbUSDC rewards, plus an ongoing Katana Perps points program. These are trading incentives, not a passive airdrop. They involve derivatives, fees and potential liquidation. Most readers searching for a katana network airdrop should treat Quests as the relevant path and avoid manufacturing trading volume merely to chase rewards.
No prize is guaranteed. Every XP point is a ticket, not a fixed entitlement, and the draw is random with odds based on each wallet's share of total XP. Prize values are approximate because payment is in locked vKAT and its market value can change. The official rules say no purchase is necessary and include a free method of entry. They also exclude residents of the United States, United Kingdom, Mainland China, Quebec, South Korea, Singapore and sanctioned countries, among other eligibility conditions. Do not use a VPN or false information to bypass a restriction.
Which Katana Is This? Identity Resolved
This guide covers Katana, the DeFi-focused blockchain at https://katana.network, not Katana Inu, Katana on Solana, Ronin's Katana DEX, a similarly named trading bot, or the dormant X account @Katana_Network. The official website and documentation both link to https://x.com/katana. The verified profile describes Katana as a DeFi-first chain built by the Katana Foundation and incubated by Polygon and GSR. Its official app is https://app.katana.network, its documentation is https://docs.katana.network, and its block explorer is https://katanascan.com.
Official documentation identifies Katana mainnet as chain ID 747474, using ETH for gas, with https://rpc.katana.network as the public RPC and https://bridge.katana.network as the canonical bridge interface. KAT is the Katana Foundation token. The official Katana token address listed in the documentation is 0x7f1f4b4b29f5058fa32cc7a97141b8d7e5abdc2d. Verify addresses against the live documentation instead of copying them from social replies, search ads or unsolicited messages.
What Ended and What Is Still Live
Ended or Historical Programs
Katana pre-deposits and Krates: the homepage marks pre-deposits complete and says early users deposited more than $240 million and opened 200,000 Krate loot boxes.
Early ecosystem earning before TGE: Katana says users earned KAT through liquidity, borrowing and activity across protocols such as Morpho and Sushi. Those historical rewards do not imply that the same actions receive the same allocation today.
KAT TGE and initial distribution: KAT became transferable on March 18, 2026. Any old article describing KAT as unlaunched or merely potential is outdated.
Founding Staker entry: users had 72 hours after TGE to qualify. New staking can earn ordinary system rewards, but it cannot recover Founding Staker status or its special first-60-day distribution.
Earlier Quest Phase 1 and previous Perps competition rounds: these have closed. Only the current app and current official posts establish a live round.
Active Programs
Katana Quests Phase 2: opened July 1, 2026, with monthly XP resets and a weighted draw for ten wallets. The July cycle leads to the first draw on August 1.
Katana Perps Competition 5: active July 9-22, 2026. It requires opt-in and qualifying trading activity and is unavailable to U.S. persons and potentially other jurisdictions.
Katana Perps points: the official program says trading, liquidity, referrals and selected offchain contributions can earn points, with conversion details and the Season 0 conclusion timing to be announced.
KAT staking and gauge voting: KAT can be locked for vKAT or deposited for avKAT. This is an ongoing yield and governance mechanism, not an airdrop.
How Katana Quests Phase 2 Works
Phase 2 converts qualifying activity into XP each day. The official earn table expresses each rate as XP per day for every $1 of qualifying activity. XP is continuously accrued while an eligible position remains active. At month end, the program snapshots balances and runs a weighted random draw. XP then resets, so old XP does not permanently dominate later months.
Before XP counts, each wallet must complete the Foundation quest track once. Katana describes this as the program's primary anti-Sybil gate. Open the quests page through the official app, review every requested action and confirm that the dashboard recognizes completion. Do not assume that an action performed through a different interface, unsupported asset or unlisted pool will count.
Official XP Rates
Stake: holding vKAT earns 2.5 XP per $1 per day. Holding avKAT also earns 2.5 XP whether held directly, used as Morpho collateral or supplied to a Sushi liquidity pool.
Trade: Perps taker volume earns 15 XP per $1, while swaps on Katana earn 6 XP per $1. Volume-based XP can be expensive because every trade creates fee, spread, slippage and market risk.
Borrow: borrowing USDC or USDT earns 8 XP per $1 per day; borrowing WETH earns 7 XP. A borrow position can be liquidated if collateral falls or debt risk rises.
Lend: lending KAT earns 2.5 XP, USDC or USDT earns 1.5 XP, and WETH earns 1 XP per $1 per day on Morpho.
Liquidity through Charm: ETH/USDC and WBTC/USDC positions earn 5 XP, KAT/USDC earns 2.5 XP, and KAT/ETH earns 2 XP per $1 per day.
Prizes, Odds and the Free Entry Route
The monthly pool is advertised at approximately $12,500 in vKAT. The first drawn wallet receives about $10,000, the second about $500, and wallets three through ten about $250 each. One wallet can win at most one prize tier in a month. The dollar figures are indicative, not stablecoin promises. vKAT is a non-transferable NFT representing locked KAT, so a prize is not equivalent to immediately spendable cash.
Odds are purely proportional to XP according to the announcement. If one eligible wallet has 100 times another wallet's XP, it has 100 times the chance in a given draw, but neither is guaranteed to win. Ten winners among all eligible entries means the expected value for a small wallet may be lower than gas, trading losses, borrowing interest or smart-contract exposure. Do not confuse many tickets with certainty.
Katana states that no purchase is necessary and directs users to the Official Rules for the free method of entry and complete eligibility. That matters: depositing, borrowing or trading is not the only legal route described by the promotion. Before putting capital at risk, open the Official Rules from the current Phase 2 announcement or quests interface and inspect the free-entry instructions, deadlines, entry limits and required information. If the linked rules are unavailable, unclear or inconsistent with the app, pause and ask official support through a channel linked from katana.network. Never send funds to a person claiming to submit a free entry for you.
Safety-First Participation Steps
Confirm legal eligibility first. You must be at least 18 or the age of majority where you live. Do not participate from an excluded or sanctioned jurisdiction, and do not evade geoblocking.
Navigate manually to https://katana.network and follow its link to the app. Bookmark the verified app, quests, docs and bridge pages. Avoid sponsored search results and X replies.
Read the live rules before connecting a wallet. Record the current month's cutoff, free-entry method, exclusions and any limits. Program terms may change after this guide is published.
Use a dedicated low-value wallet. Do not use a wallet that holds long-term savings, valuable NFTs, governance positions or access to business treasuries.
Complete the one-time Foundation quest track in the official quests page. Read each signature and transaction. A normal wallet connection should never require a seed phrase or private key.
Choose either the free method of entry or one genuine onchain activity you already understand. Do not open leveraged trades or borrow solely because the XP number looks high.
Fund only a strict loss budget plus ETH for gas. Send a small test amount first and confirm chain ID 747474. Verify token balances and destination addresses in Katanascan.
Use the app dashboard to verify XP recognition. Keep transaction hashes, timestamps and screenshots. Do not repeat failed actions blindly if XP is delayed.
Review approvals after interacting. Revoke allowances you no longer need through a trusted explorer or approval tool reached from known sources. Disconnecting a wallet alone does not revoke token approvals.
At month end, verify results only through the official app, blog or @katana. A direct message announcing a win is not proof. Never pay an unlock, validation, tax or gas fee to an unknown address.
Choosing an Activity Without Overpaying for XP
Borrowing magnifies risk. Borrowers pay variable interest and can be liquidated. A seemingly stable position can deteriorate if collateral falls, debt grows, an oracle moves unexpectedly or liquidity disappears. Never borrow the maximum allowed amount, and do not rely on an XP prize to cover interest or liquidation losses.
Liquidity provision creates price and rebalancing exposure. Concentrated liquidity through Charm can move out of range, incur impermanent loss, or underperform simply holding the assets. KAT pairs add KAT price volatility; WBTC and ETH pairs add broader market risk; stablecoin pairs retain depeg and issuer risk. Quoted APR and XP are not guaranteed net returns.
Swapping repeatedly to manufacture volume is usually poor economics and can resemble wash activity. Fees, price impact, MEV and taxes accumulate with every cycle. Perpetual futures are riskier still. Leverage can liquidate the account, funding rates can drain collateral, and leaderboard competition can encourage reckless sizing. If you are not already an experienced derivatives trader, the rational safety-first decision is to skip Perps even while the competition is live.
Katana Perps Competition 5: Optional High-Risk Path
Competition 5 opened July 9 at 16:00 UTC and closes July 22 at 16:00 UTC. Participants must opt in on the competition page. The volume pool requires at least $10,000 in qualifying trade volume and pays pro rata. It starts with a stated $5,000 base once aggregate competition volume reaches $10 million, adds $2,500 for each additional $5 million of aggregate volume, and can reach $90,000 at $170 million or more. Because this depends on total community volume, the headline maximum is not guaranteed.
A separate $10,000 PnL leaderboard pays the top 15 wallets by percentage profit and requires a collateral balance of at least $250. The promotion also offers a $500 creator bonus for an eligible X post. Rewards are in Vault Bridge USDC, or vbUSDC. Katana allows up to seven days after closing to review wash trading and finalize payouts. Self-referrals and wash trading can cause disqualification; market-maker partners are ineligible.
This competition is unavailable to persons located in or resident in the United States, and access may be restricted elsewhere. It should not be presented as a simple airdrop task. Reaching $10,000 of notional volume can generate losses far above a likely pro-rata reward. Never use leverage, churn trades or deposit $250 merely to satisfy a leaderboard threshold unless the independent trading strategy, fees and downside already make sense.
KAT, vKAT and avKAT Explained
KAT is transferable but does not provide voting power by itself. Locking KAT creates vKAT, a non-transferable NFT with voting power. vKAT holders can direct KAT emissions toward eligible liquidity pools and may earn vote incentives, pool trading fees and exit fees. Depositing into avKAT provides a transferable vault token that automates voting and compounds rewards.
Locked vKAT is not liquid cash. Official docs describe a 60-day cooldown during which withdrawing vKAT has no voting power and earns no rewards. Waiting the full period still incurs a 2.5% exit fee. An immediate rage quit can cost 25%, with the fee declining over the cooldown. avKAT can potentially be sold on a DEX, but the exit depends on available liquidity and may involve substantial slippage. A monthly prize paid in vKAT inherits these restrictions.
Sybil Rules and Responsible Participation
The Foundation quest is intended to connect entries to real participants. Using many wallets, purchased accounts, fake identities, automation, self-referrals or coordinated wash volume can violate rules and lead to exclusion. Even if a transaction succeeds onchain, it may not qualify under the promotion.
Use one genuinely controlled wallet unless the current rules expressly permit more.
Do not split one person's capital across wallets to multiply free entries or prize chances.
Do not buy Foundation completion, XP, referrals, aged wallets or KYC identities.
Do not trade against yourself, coordinate opposite accounts or recycle swaps to create artificial volume.
Do not automate transactions or social actions in ways that violate app, protocol or platform terms.
Do not use VPNs, proxies or false residency details to evade a geographic restriction.
Do not assume that a third-party dashboard or influencer calculation overrides Katana's official records.
Katana Network Airdrop Scams to Avoid
Fake Historical Claims
KAT is already live, so a site promising a new claim for Krates, pre-deposits, POL staking or Founding Staker status may be exploiting outdated headlines. Historical eligibility does not make a new domain legitimate. Start from katana.network and verify whether the app itself shows an entitlement. Never import a seed phrase into a claim page.
Counterfeit Quests and XP Checkers
Scammers can copy the Phase 2 branding and advertise bonus XP. The real quests page is reached through app.katana.network. Reject unexpected Permit, Permit2, SetApprovalForAll, token-approval or ownership-transfer requests, especially when merely checking XP. Simulate transactions where possible and inspect the spender and amount.
Impersonated Support and Winner Messages
Official staff will not need your seed phrase, private key, remote desktop access or a deposit to release a prize. Treat Telegram messages, Discord direct messages, X replies and emails as untrusted until independently verified. A scammer may know your wallet address and transaction history; that public information does not prove affiliation.
Guaranteed Returns and Farming Services
No service can guarantee a random draw, profitable Perps rank or future KAT allocation. Managed farming hands wallet access to a stranger and can create Sybil links. Recovery agents cannot reverse an irreversible approval by asking for your seed phrase. If a wallet may be compromised, stop signing, revoke approvals from a clean device where safe, and move remaining assets to a newly generated wallet.
Is New Participation Worth It?
For an eligible person who can use the no-purchase entry route and accepts random odds, Phase 2 is meaningfully actionable. The program opened only nine days before this review, July XP resets monthly, and the first draw has not occurred. New participants are not locked out by an old snapshot. That is why the status is actionable rather than SKIP.
For capital-based entry, the answer is conditional. Participation may be reasonable when the user already wants to lend, stake or provide liquidity on Katana, understands the protocol and can absorb a total loss. It is not reasonable to deploy important savings, borrow aggressively, chase the highest XP rate or expect the prize to repay costs. Weighted odds favor more XP, while most wallets receive nothing in any month.
Perps participation is meaningful only for legally eligible, experienced traders who would have traded under the same risk limits without the competition. Everyone else should use the free route if eligible or skip. An active campaign does not create an obligation to participate.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is the Katana Network airdrop live?
The original early-user distributions and KAT launch are over. An official monthly incentive is live: Katana Quests Phase 2 awards draw entries for XP and pays ten winners in locked vKAT. It is more accurate to call this an incentive draw than a conventional retroactive airdrop.
2. Can a new wallet still qualify?
Yes, subject to legal eligibility and completion of the one-time Foundation quest track. Phase 2 opened July 1, XP resets monthly, and the first draw is scheduled for August 1. There is no old-wallet snapshot requirement stated for the active monthly draw.
3. Is participation free?
Katana states no purchase is necessary and that the full rules contain a free method of entry. Read and follow the live rules. Onchain routes are not free because they may involve gas, fees, interest, slippage and capital risk.
4. How much KAT will I receive?
There is no fixed KAT amount. Ten wallets are randomly drawn with odds proportional to XP. Prizes are expressed as approximate dollar values in locked vKAT, so the token amount and value can vary.
5. Do I need to trade Perps?
No. Quests lists staking, swaps, borrowing, lending and selected liquidity positions, and the official rules provide a no-purchase route. Perps are optional and high risk.
6. Can U.S. or U.K. residents enter?
Not under the Phase 2 eligibility statement reviewed on July 10. It excludes residents of the United States, United Kingdom, Mainland China, Quebec, South Korea, Singapore and sanctioned countries. Perps separately excludes U.S. persons and may restrict additional jurisdictions.
7. Is vKAT immediately sellable?
No. vKAT is a non-transferable NFT backed by locked KAT. Exiting uses a cooldown and fee schedule. avKAT is transferable, but converting or selling introduces vault, liquidity, price and slippage risk.
8. What is the safest route?
Confirm eligibility, use the no-purchase method if suitable, use one dedicated wallet, follow only official links and assume your reward will be zero. Avoid leverage and do not risk capital solely for XP.
9. Is @Katana_Network the official X account?
No. The official site and docs link to @katana. The similarly named @Katana_Network account is dormant and unrelated to the verified project profile used here.
10. Where can I verify updates?
Use katana.network, app.katana.network, docs.katana.network and x.com/katana. For technical details, verify chain ID and contracts in current docs and transactions in Katanascan.
