Ostium Points Guide: Earn Arbitrum Trading Rewards Safely
Safety-first guide to active Ostium Points on Arbitrum, covering eligibility, trading and vault steps, fees, liquidation, rewards, checking credit and scams.

Ostium Points status at a glance
Status checked: July 10, 2026. Ostium's official application has a dedicated Points area alongside Trade, Vault and Portfolio. The live protocol is deployed on Arbitrum and settles positions in USDC. This makes Ostium Points a legitimate protocol loyalty campaign in the Arbitrum ecosystem, rather than a generic ARB incentive, an ordinary yield rate, an ended token distribution or a claim-only page. Season 2 began in January 2026, and the live Points interface remains the practical status checker.
The campaign rewards recognized participation, but points are not cash, USDC, a token or a guaranteed legal claim. Ostium has not made a dependable promise that every point will convert into a token or have a fixed value. Treat the expected value of points as zero. Trading or supplying vault liquidity should make sense without them; otherwise, the safest action is not to participate.
Ostium is a leveraged perpetuals venue for exposure to stocks, ETFs, commodities, indices, foreign exchange and crypto. It is not a broker account and users do not own the referenced stock, barrel of oil or currency. Positions are synthetic perpetual instruments. Leverage, liquidation, fees, market closures and smart-contract risk can erase capital much faster than points accumulate.
Why this campaign qualifies
The primary evidence is first-party. The official app at app.ostium.com visibly includes a Points destination and a connected-account flow. Ostium's current documentation states that the protocol is deployed on Arbitrum, uses USDC settlement and supports self-custodied perpetual positions. The official website links directly to that app, documentation, referral area, vault and protocol explorer. These linked surfaces establish the project, network and active rewards interface.
This evidence proves that a points ledger and participation interface are operating. It does not prove a future airdrop, token launch, conversion formula, snapshot, minimum allocation or profit. Season labels and campaign mechanics can change. The app, not an old social post or third-party airdrop list, is the controlling source for the wallet's current score, eligible actions, boosts and leaderboard status.
Ostium also publishes current trading, fee, market, liquidation, vault, audit and legal documentation. Those materials are important for informed participation, but documentation and audits do not make leveraged derivatives safe. The protocol combines onchain settlement with offchain hedging and institutional counterparties. That model introduces technical, market, operational, counterparty and legal dependencies.
Who may be eligible
A participant generally needs a compatible wallet or supported account login, USDC on Arbitrum, and access from a permitted jurisdiction. Ostium's official documentation currently excludes users in the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Philippines and comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions, including listed sanctioned regions. Restrictions can change, and separate rules may apply to rewards. Read the current Terms of Use before connecting.
Do not use a VPN, false residence, borrowed identity, nominee wallet or controlled account to evade restrictions. A successful login does not establish legal eligibility. Derivatives rules vary and can depend on residence, citizenship, professional status and the asset traded. Obtain independent legal or tax advice where needed. Campaign points do not override local law or Ostium's terms.
Use one genuine account unless the live rules expressly allow otherwise. Sybil wallets, self-referrals, wash trading, coordinated opposite positions, circular volume and transactions made only to manipulate scoring may be excluded. Ostium can review activity, change formulas or remove abusive credit. Keep dated screenshots and transaction hashes, but understand that records do not guarantee a reward.
Safety setup before using Ostium
Start at https://www.ostium.com and follow its Launch App link to https://app.ostium.com. Bookmark those domains. Do not enter through sponsored search ads, reply-section links, private messages, Telegram support accounts or a supposed points checker. Check every character in the hostname. A real support representative never needs a seed phrase, private key, wallet backup, remote-access session or transfer for verification.
Use a separate low-value wallet and a strict loss budget. Fund only the USDC allocated to the test plus enough ETH on Arbitrum for gas where required. Verify the Arbitrum network and canonical USDC contract through official documentation and a reputable explorer. Token names and logos are easy to clone. If bridging, use a route reached from a trusted official source and send a small test first.
Read every signature and transaction simulation. A login signature should not transfer assets. An approval authorizes a contract to spend a token, sometimes without a practical limit. Verify the spender and amount, prefer a limited allowance where possible, and revoke obsolete permissions after exiting. Hardware wallets protect keys from some malware but cannot reverse a malicious transaction that the owner approves.
Lower-cost observation route
The lowest financial-risk way to investigate is to connect a fresh wallet with no valuable assets, open the Points page and read the current rules without depositing. Confirm the season label, scoring categories, update schedule, boost windows, referral terms and any exclusions. Take a dated screenshot. If the app does not clearly describe how an action receives credit, do not infer eligibility from an old guide.
A points page can be observed for little or no cost, but earning may require economic activity. Do not manufacture trades merely to make the counter move. Trading fees, spread, rollover charges and losses can exceed any unknown reward. A rational test has a learning objective, a maximum fee budget and a stop point. It never assumes points will reimburse losses.
Trading route: steps and controls
If trading independently fits your experience and legal eligibility, begin by funding the verified wallet with a small amount of USDC on Arbitrum. Open the official app, verify the connected address and review the available market. Read the market's fee, leverage cap, trading hours, rollover conditions and current price source. Do not trade an unfamiliar instrument solely because it has a temporary points multiplier.
Choose the minimum practical collateral and low leverage. Set the direction, position size, leverage and any take-profit or stop-loss levels. Before confirming, calculate the notional exposure, opening fee, oracle fee, likely spread, rollover cost and liquidation price. A $100 margin position at 10x controls roughly $1,000 of exposure; a relatively small adverse move can consume the margin.
Submit one test and confirm it appears in Portfolio. Record the transaction hash, pair, collateral, leverage, fill, fees and UTC time. Then close the position while it is still small to learn the exit flow. Check whether the Points page recognizes activity after its stated accounting interval. Missing credit is not a reason to open repeated trades, increase leverage or churn volume.
Use stop-loss orders as risk tools, not guarantees. Fast markets, gaps, oracle updates, congestion or closed underlying markets can cause execution away from the intended level. A take-profit also may not fill exactly as expected. Never assume a pending order eliminates liquidation risk. Monitor open positions and maintain enough collateral, but do not add funds indefinitely to rescue a losing trade.
Market hours and real-world asset risks
Stocks, ETFs, commodities, indices and forex have schedules that differ from always-open crypto markets. Some positions may face restricted opening, automatic closing or changed conditions around market sessions. Holidays, overnight periods and major announcements can reduce liquidity or create price gaps. Read Ostium's current Markets and stock day-trading documentation for the exact pair before opening.
A perpetual price is designed to track a reference market but is not ownership of the underlying asset. Corporate actions, futures rolls, exchange halts, limit moves, data-source disruption and market closures can complicate pricing. Ostium's oracle and execution systems may pause, reject or delay an order under defined conditions. Points do not compensate for basis or execution risk.
Vault route: not ordinary savings
The Ostium Liquidity Pool vault is another possible ecosystem activity, but it must not be described as a savings account. A depositor supplies USDC and receives OLP shares. The vault is part of the settlement and loss structure for trader activity. Returns can vary, and share value can fall. Any points layer is separate from the economic yield and risk of OLP.
Before depositing, read the official Vault Overview, OLP Token, deposit and withdrawal pages. Check the current share price, fees, caps, withdrawal process, waiting period and loss waterfall. Use a small test deposit and test the withdrawal route before increasing size. Keep enough liquid USDC and ETH outside the vault; a queued or constrained withdrawal is not emergency cash.
Vault providers face smart-contract, utilization, trader-profit, hedging, counterparty, oracle, liquidity and operational risks. Offchain hedging partners and daily settlement processes introduce dependencies beyond a simple autonomous pool. Even if historical returns are positive, future trader performance or hedging failures can create losses. No advertised APY or points rate is guaranteed.
Referrals and conflicts of interest
The official site links to a Referrals area, and referral activity may affect campaign scoring or fee benefits under current rules. Use only a link that resolves to the verified app domain. Disclose that an inviter may benefit. Never promise profit, describe leverage as safe, or pressure someone to deposit. A referral relationship does not make the inviter responsible for support or custody.
Do not self-refer, control both sides of a referral, buy accounts or pay strangers to trade. Never share seed phrases or let another person operate the wallet. If a code is optional, compare the visible terms before accepting it. A social account claiming a private multiplier, guaranteed allocation or paid whitelist is not official evidence.
How points and boosts should be interpreted
Ostium Points measure recognized activity. Season 2 materials describe a capped seasonal pool and rotating boost windows, while the live interface is the source for current mechanics. A boost may increase points or reduce specified fees on selected markets for a limited period. It does not improve the probability of a profitable trade or reduce liquidation risk unless the live terms explicitly change a particular cost.
Points formulas may consider volume, fees, liquidity, referrals, timing, asset category or other anti-abuse factors. A displayed score can update on a schedule rather than instantly. Rates, caps and categories can change. Never extrapolate a past week's multiplier across the full season, and do not rely on a third-party calculator that assigns a dollar price to points.
Treat every point as worth zero in a participation budget. There is no dependable cash market or guaranteed redemption. Do not buy or sell points informally, transfer money to “activate” them, or sign an off-platform assignment. If Ostium later announces a benefit, verify the announcement through the official website and another first-party channel before taking action.
Cost and time estimate
A careful account and observation setup can take 15 to 30 minutes. A small trading test, including funding, contract checks, order review, closing and points verification, can take 30 to 60 minutes plus the campaign's accounting delay. Vault participation can require additional waiting for deposits or withdrawals. Market schedules may force a user to wait until an underlying venue opens.
Costs can include bridge fees, Arbitrum gas, USDC approval, opening and closing trading fees, oracle fees, spread, slippage, rollover charges, liquidation loss, vault fees and taxes. Gas may be sponsored in some account modes, but never assume every action is free. The app preview and official Fees page should be checked immediately before each transaction.
Set a total campaign budget, not only a deposit amount. For example, separate maximum trading loss, maximum fees, maximum gas and maximum time. Do not count hypothetical points as an offset. If costs reach the limit, stop. High-frequency activity undertaken for an unknown reward is especially likely to turn a free-looking campaign into an expensive one.
How to check credit safely
Navigate from the official Ostium site to the app, log in with the exact account used for activity, and open Points. Confirm the wallet address, season, score, leaderboard position, eligible category and update timestamp. Compare it with your Portfolio, transaction hashes and dated records. A delay does not justify signing another approval or sending funds to support.
If credit remains missing after the published interval, gather only public and non-secret details: wallet address, Arbitrum transaction hashes, UTC timestamps, pair or vault action, and screenshots. Reach support through links in official documentation. Never disclose a seed phrase or delegate key, install remote-access software, or sign an opaque “sync points” message.
Liquidation and leverage risk
Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. Liquidation can close a position when margin no longer supports exposure, crystallizing a substantial or near-total loss of collateral. Fees and rollover charges can move the effective threshold closer over time. Lower leverage reduces but does not remove this risk. A sudden gap can bypass a planned stop.
Do not use borrowed money, rent, tax funds, emergency savings or assets needed for near-term expenses. Avoid averaging down without a predefined plan. Correlated positions can behave like one larger bet. Opposite positions on different accounts can still lose through fees, spread, timing and anti-abuse enforcement. Points farming is not a hedge.
Protocol and counterparty risks
Smart contracts can contain unknown vulnerabilities. Audits by named firms reduce some known implementation risk but cannot prove safety, cover every upgrade or integration, or prevent governance and key misuse. Wallets, front ends, RPC providers, bridges, USDC, oracles, account-abstraction services and Arbitrum itself add separate failure domains.
Ostium's architecture includes offchain hedging and institutional partners while collateral settlement occurs onchain. Hedging errors, partner default, delayed settlement, operational failure or legal intervention can affect the system. Self-custody means users control wallets, not that every component is trustless. Review current architecture disclosures and incident announcements.
USDC can depeg, be frozen or face issuer and regulatory action. Arbitrum can experience congestion, sequencer disruption or bridge risk. During stress, closing a trade or withdrawing from a vault may be harder or more expensive. Keep an independent exit plan and enough native gas. Do not wait for a points deadline to test the exit route.
Scams and account-security warnings
Expect fake Ostium token claims, counterfeit Points dashboards, malicious browser extensions, cloned social accounts and support impersonators. Ignore unexpected tokens or NFTs containing links. There is no legitimate need to pay an advance tax, validation deposit or gas transfer to a personal address. A countdown or “final snapshot” message is not proof.
Email or social login can add account-recovery and session risks. Protect the email with a unique password and phishing-resistant multifactor authentication. Review active sessions and delegated trading permissions. If the app creates a smart account or delegate for one-click trading, understand its authority and use the official removal process when finished.
If a suspicious signature or approval was made, stop interacting. Revoke permissions using a reputable tool reached independently, remove delegates, and move unaffected assets to a clean wallet if key compromise is possible. Contact official support with public transaction data. Never follow recovery instructions from an unsolicited direct message.
Exit and monitoring plan
Before entering, write down a maximum loss, maximum leverage, maximum holding time and events that require closure. Triggers can include an exploit, oracle incident, prolonged interface outage, changed restrictions, USDC depeg, unexpected settlement issue or a points rule change. The existence of a leaderboard is not a reason to ignore a trigger.
Close test positions, confirm USDC returns to the wallet and withdraw vault shares according to current rules. Check for pending orders and cancel those no longer needed. Remove delegates and revoke stale allowances after the final exit. Retain transaction and tax records. Do not leave a leveraged position unattended merely because a campaign remains active.
Frequently asked questions
Is Ostium Points active?
Yes. The official app displayed a dedicated Points section when checked on July 10, 2026. Recheck the live page before acting because season status and earning rules can change.
Is Ostium part of the Arbitrum ecosystem?
Yes. Ostium's current official documentation states that the protocol is deployed on Arbitrum and that users fund trading with USDC on Arbitrum.
Is an Ostium airdrop guaranteed?
No. Points do not guarantee a token, snapshot, conversion rate, allocation or cash value. Budget them at zero.
Can I earn without leveraged trading?
The live rules may recognize vault or referral activity, but each has separate risks and conditions. Confirm current eligibility in the official Points page. Observing the dashboard without funding is the lowest-risk research route.
Are boost windows free money?
No. A points multiplier or fee discount does not prevent market losses, rollover charges, slippage or liquidation. Never select a trade solely for a boost.
How much should I deposit?
Only an amount that can be lost completely without affecting financial security. Start with the smallest useful test and use low leverage if trading is independently appropriate.
Why are points missing?
Possible causes include an accounting delay, wrong account, ineligible action, excluded behavior or changed rules. Wait for the official interval and contact only verified support with public transaction details.
Is the OLP vault safe?
No vault is risk-free. OLP is part of Ostium's settlement and loss structure and carries smart-contract, liquidity, hedging, counterparty and performance risks.

Bottom line
Ostium Points is a legitimate active Arbitrum ecosystem loyalty campaign as of the checker date. The dedicated first-party Points interface distinguishes it from ordinary yield and from an ended or claim-only distribution. Qualification does not make participation safe or profitable. The conservative path is to read the dashboard and terms without funding, then use only a tiny, separately budgeted test if derivatives or vault exposure independently fit your plan. Skip it if you cannot accept total loss, verify the domains, satisfy geographic rules or explain the exit process yourself.
